After a few (many) years hiatus.. doing theatre in new york and now finally when we are traveling again-- I am back in Milan and have finally found an excellent ballet class for adults here who want a serious class that is open (walk in)  and welcome to adult beginners and challenging enough for the more advanced older students-- offered multiple times a week!

Behind this diminutive facade in the Fiera neighborhood of Milan (Metro Lotto FieraMilanoCityThe wonderful maestro is Giancarlo Pupparo website: http://www.gprojectdancestudio.it ---  with classes for adults mid day at 12:20 pm and 1pm - all 1.5 hrs long.  (So many classes here in Milan only offer 1 class for adults a week, and limit the time to 1 hour.. too short! too few!)  At GProject you can find classes Monday through Saturday.. all levels and barre a terre-- also some in the evening-- You will have loads of time to see the museums and can take a brilliant dance class at the same time.  I am thrilled to find Giancarlo's studio--

He also teaches Modern, lyrical jazz, pilates, Flamenco, hip hop++-- You will def find a find a class you will want to take!

With Adrian Seijas, our maestro at the FundaciĆ³n Julio Bocca . We took his clasico principiantes class for two weeks.  He is a wonderful teacher, very musical.  Excellent level for advanced beginners. These are open classes so you can drop in while you are visiting for one or a few days.  The class books start at 8 classes- good for two months.

April in Buenos Aires

Returnd to  Buenos Aires last April- Returned to the wonderful classes at the Julio Bocca Foundation in the Galaria Pacifico downtown.  A pleasure to be around all these young students and the attention to the adult dancer is serious and greatly appreciated.  My favorite classes were with
S. Von-Potobsky and R. Rivas.

London- July

Back at the Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden I took a wonderful class with Ian Knowles- and another with Maggie Paterson- these are the 3pm elemetary level- which are the equivalent of advanced beginner for us dancers.. good for anyone really- pros for warm up and adults with training.
Loved the classes and the energy in the room.  Pianists accompany.

Back in LA

Will be checking back in with Stefan Wenta this week.  Just arrived.  Here is the studio, updated, with a new cafe in the front (Paper or Plastic).  At the corner of Pico and Ogden, two blocks east of Fairfax.  I may also check out a class with Edouard Kouzmitch at Edge where there are a lot of beginner ballet classes for adults- check out the schedule.

New York City. Kathryn Sullivan at Peridance

Best ballet teacher for the adult ballet student at an advanced beginner level so far in my experience:  Kathryn Sullivan.  She also teaches at Steps and is on the faculty at Columbia College.  She is teaching two classes downtown at Peridance on E.13th St. in Manhattan on Tuesdays and Thursdays at ten am.  The barre is super thorough and precise.  Always with a pianist.  Show up on time!  You won't want to miss a minute.
